Every year in November and December, the Illinois Lottery takes part in the Gift Responsibly campaign organized by the Illinois Council on Problem Gambling, with support from the North American Association of State & Provincial Lotteries Allwyn’s Rebecca Vykydal, Senior Corporate Social Responsibility Specialist, spoke at the recent ICPG’s Responsible Gifting webinar. Encouraging responsible gifting is an important message during the holiday season and throughout the year. The Gift Responsibly campaign focuses on raising awareness about the risks of underage lottery playing and promoting responsible gifting during the holidays. The Illinois Lottery is once again partnering with the Illinois Council on Problem Gambling (ICPG) as part of the Gift Responsibly Campaign. Led annually by the National Council on Problem Gambling, this initiative focuses on raising public awareness about the risks associated with underage lottery play and highlighting why lottery products should never be given as gifts to minors. As part of our collaboration, Senior Corporate Social Responsibility Specialist of Allwyn North America, Rebecca Vykydal, presented our Gift Responsibly campaign on a recent ICPG training, sponsored by Illinois Department of Human Services. She presented about the Illinois Lottery's role in the campaign which includes a press release, social media posts, print and digital advertisements, a radio PSA, and messaging at retail point-of-sale.
