Our Corporate Meetings & Events Team recently gathered in Morristown for a meaningful volunteer effort supporting infusion patients and caregivers at the Carol G. Simon Cancer Center. Together, they assembled 60 gift bags filled with comfort items to uplift those undergoing treatment while also supporting the mental health of the medical teams who care for them. A deeply moving moment came when Cait Ryan, HRM Certifiedfrom Arch Re shared her personal journey with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. Her strength, optimism and advocacy reminded us why this work matters. At Arch, we believe in showing up for our communities, our colleagues and the causes that connect us. Leah Harwood, a Senior Claims Examiner, Property, works for Arch Insurance Group Inc. from her home in northeast Georgia.   Thanks to her Arch benefits, Leah had both knees replaced last year.   “I am so glad I did it. And I’m grateful to Arch,” Leah says. “It’s not only the medical benefits that we have here that allowed me to do the procedures, but the time off. The PTO and short-term disability benefits the company provides allowed me to recover from each surgery. It truly has changed my life.”   The physical therapy sessions after her surgeries lasted about six weeks after each surgery. Once again, Arch was there for Leah.   “There were days when I would have to leave early,” she says. “My managers worked with me so I could do the physical therapy. They understood how important it was. The end result is I have full function of both knees, full range of motion up to 120 degrees. I can walk up and down stairs now, which I couldn’t do before. We’re excited to share that James Bauer, AVP, Special Investigations Unit, for being nominated to the International Association of Special Investigation Units (IASIU), Board of Directors! James has been with Arch for over 15 years, and he has nearly 40 years of experience working in special investigations, fraud detection and compliance.
