Guild Wars Reforged is coming next month updating our long-running and beloved MMORPG and modernizing it for players old and new. Our team at ArenaNet has partnered with 2weeks Corp to bring this update to our website and Steam, launching on both platforms December 3. And we're sharing more about Reforged with Guild Wars content creator Laranity during a livestream happening now! We're talking about some of the update's highlights, including:  ✅ Making the game Steam Deck verified ✅ Playable with X-input controllers ✅ Updates to the UI and other visuals - including high-DPI support for modern high-resolution monitors and screens ✅ New and improved skill icons ✅ Updated ambient audio  ✅ New and improved quest tracker Newcomers will learn more about the game's 20-year history or for long-time fans, it's a chance to hear from the devs who've made this game such a long-running success and hopefully, get all of you hyped for an adventure in Ascalon!

GeekGirlCon 2025 Recap: Empowering the Next Generation of Game Developers On Saturday, six incredible ArenaNet devs took the stage for the panel Journeys in Game Development, sharing their unique paths into the industry and offering experienced advice to underrepresented creators looking to break into the industry. The message was clear: there’s no single way into game development, and your perspective matters. Passion, authenticity, and diversity aren’t just welcome — they’re essential. On Sunday, ArenaNet team members provided personalized portfolio and resume reviews to attendees across disciplines like animation, concept art, engineering, game design, sound design, and more. The feedback was hands-on, honest, and tailored to help each participant take their next step.
