Please join us in welcoming Reid Somori, the newest member of the Associates in Medical Imaging leadership team! Reid joined us in June 2025 as our Manager of PET/CT Operations, bringing with him nearly 20 years of experience in PET and Nuclear Medicine. He currently leads our growing mobile PET/CT fleet of GE Omni Legends, serving the Cincinnati and Youngstown, Ohio markets. Cincinnati clinical studies officially began on September 16th, and Youngstown will begin on December 1st. In addition to his immediate work in Cincinnati, Reid will play a key role in the development and support of all current and future PET/CT mobile operations across our network. Reid’s leadership will also support AIMI’s ongoing commitment to innovation in PET imaging; guiding the integration of new radiopharmaceuticals, supporting clinical research initiatives, and ensuring our teams stay aligned with the latest advancements shaping the future of molecular imaging. Reid holds an Associate of Science in Nuclear Medicine Technology from Ball State University and is currently completing his Bachelor of Health Sciences at Kettering College. Over the course of his career, he has served in a variety of clinical and leadership roles throughout the mobile and hospital imaging space. His background includes early experience with Shared PET Imaging, followed by more than a decade with Alliance Healthcare Services, where he led teams, managed clinical partnerships, and oversaw daily operations for a large mobile PET/CT fleet. Most recently, Reid served as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist at Kettering Health Network, where he expanded his expertise in advanced PET imaging including oncology, research protocols, radiochemistry, and especially cardiac PET. His cardiac experience includes Rb-82 myocardial perfusion imaging, myocardial flow reserve (MFR) quantification, and advanced viability and inflammatory imaging, such as sarcoidosis protocols. With our first mobile cardiac PET studies underway, Reid’s deep understanding of cardiac protocols and quality standards brings immediate value to the continued growth of our clinical offerings. Reid’s return to the mobile imaging world is more than just a new role, it’s a full-circle moment. After years in a hospital-based setting, he wasn’t sure mobile was a path he’d take again. But the opportunity to help shape and grow a forward-thinking mobile PET/CT program reignited his passion for bringing high-quality, accessible imaging directly to patients and communities.
