About us

Since its inception, ASU+GSV has believed that there is virtually no limit to what a determined, collaborative, and entrepreneurial group of human beings can accomplish — especially a group as uniquely positioned and purposeful as this community. From 350 people in 2010 to now 12,500+ attendees across multiple events, the Summit has evolved into the world's most important and impactful gathering of visionary leaders from across "PreK to Gray" education and workforce learning. With that special alchemy of attendees, some of the most transformational ideas start right here on our stages, in our program rooms, and in our hallways. And in this new era of AI-accelerated innovation and opportunity, there is no better place to start Learning at the Speed of Light than the 17th Annual ASU+GSV Summit, April 12-15, 2026, in San Diego!

With perspectives from sitting and former superintendents—Dr. Leslie Torres-Rodríguez; Nicolas Wade, Ed.D.; and Simone Wright, Ed.L.D.—educators will gain practical peer insights for navigating a new era of instability: 🌀 What’s driving volatility, and how is it shaping budget and policy decisions at every level? 🌀 How are students, educators, and school communities experiencing the impact directly? 🌀 What can education leaders do to build more coherent, student-centered, and future-ready systems—even in the midst of uncertainty?

  • Physics Wallah (PW) didn’t just make Indian and global #EdTech history this week. They proved what happens when a mission to serve Bharat with low-cost, high-quality education scales with unstoppable velocity.    From a YouTube classroom to a multibillion-dollar public debut, PW’s IPO is a testament to doing well by doing good on a massive scale. This milestone isn’t an endpoint—it’s fuel for their vision to democratize education and stand beside every student as a lifelong learning partner. Fittingly, students joined the PW team at the NSE listing ceremony in Mumbai, helping ring the IPO bell that marked this historic moment. ✨ First Indian EdTech IPO ✨ First global EdTech IPO over $4B since 2021 ✨ $4.7B+ market cap on opening day ✨ Ranked among India’s Top 50 consumer tech companies ✨ Notably profitable with $50M EBITDA  ✨ 30M+ active monthly learners (up from 2M in 2022) ✨ 4.5M paying subscribers (23% YoY growth) ✨ $326M in revenue (up 49% YoY) ✨ 600% growth in YouTube subscribers since 2020—14M on the flagship channel ✨ 200+ YouTube channels with ~100M subscribers combined ✨ 14,000+ video lectures covering 8 dialects ✨ From a YouTube channel launched in 2016 to a company founded in 2020, PW went public just five years after its founding. Long before Physics Wallah became a multibillion-dollar force, it was just Alakh Pandey: a charismatic teacher from Prayagraj using memes, jokes, and physics problems to guide students preparing for JEE, NEET, and CBSE exams on YouTube. What began as a grassroots classroom grew into a national movement because it spoke directly to Bharat: world-class education should never depend on wealth or geography. That teacher-first ethos fuels PW to this day, now reaching 98% of India’s pin codes and operating 300+ centers across 150+ cities. We’re thrilled to celebrate the groundbreaking momentum of Physics Wallah and its founders, whose infectious enthusiasm and purpose-driven perseverance have become fixtures of the ASU+GSV community. Their remarkable trajectory is a reminder that when we build with passion and lead with both smarts and hearts, we can truly change the world for GOOD!

  • On this day in 1960, Ruby Bridges became the first Black student to integrate an all-white elementary school in Louisiana at the age of six. The state of California now recognizes November 14th as Ruby Bridges Walk to School Day, encouraging students all over the country to follow her historic steps and commemorate the movement she started. The Civil Rights icon’s impact continues today as she spreads the power of love and community as an activist, author, and speaker. We were honored to host Ruby in San Diego at the 2024 ASU+GSV Summit, where her remarkable story reminded everyone in the room of how powerful and necessary our collective mission is—to ensure ALL people have equal access to the future.
