We wrapped up a great week of field trips at Atlas with a visit from Meade County High School! Students spent the morning touring our Louisville facility, watching our machinists in action, and getting a real look at what a future in the skilled trades can offer. They explored the shop floor, heard directly from our apprentices, and asked some great questions about our Co-op and Apprenticeship Programs. Another great field trip day at Atlas! Today, we welcomed students from Grayson County High School for an inside look at careers in machining. The group toured our shop floor, checked out our equipment up close, and asked some excellent questions about our Co-op and Apprenticeship Programs. Huge thanks to the GCHS team for visiting, and to our Atlas crew who helped lead tours and share their experience. Leadership Transition Announcement! Atlas Machine & Supply is proud to announce a significant leadership transition that honors our past while preparing for the future. After more than a decade leading Atlas as President and CEO, Richie Gimmel has transitioned into the role of Chairman of the Board while maintaining full ownership of the company. In this role, Richie will continue guiding Atlas’s long-term strategy and mission. Succeeding him as Chief Executive Officer is Erick Lawson, who previously served as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and has held various leadership roles across the company for more than a decade. Erick becomes the first non-family member to lead Atlas since its founding in 1907. This transition marks an important milestone in Atlas’s history, reflecting both continuity and progress as the company continues to grow while staying true to its purpose: being Powered by People.
