A night of Miami magic arrived at Versa Restaurant and Rooftop Bar in NYC, part of the Backal Hospitality Group as the University of Miami Alumni Association hosted its a Summer Sendoff in the city to welcome our incoming students and their families from the Tri-State area. This fabulous location, hosted by a UMiami family, featured two specialty orange and green mocktails for guests, a DJ, delicious hors d’oeuvres and an incredible vibe that captured the energy of Miami in the city. From the Rooftop terrace in the shadows of the Empire State Building and NYC skyline, the U shone bright on every screen, creating an unforgettable atmosphere. Students made new lifelong friends, and parents shared their excitement about having a Hurricane in their family. Our New York 'Canes (University of Miami Alumni Community) volunteers were ready to answer any questions, share stories of their time at the U, and talk about the powerhouse that the university has become as it celebrates its Centennial year!
