This weekend, BEAR was proud to celebrate the ribbon cutting for the Patrick J. Callahan Community Center with the Batavia Park District! BEAR recently completed a full gut renovation of this multi-generational facility to create vibrant areas for a variety of recreational programming, including a community room, a gathering place for active older adults, enrichment programs for children and versatile multi-purpose spaces. Also included, the Batavia Depot Museum has dedicated collection storage space and a museum lab for the curator to assemble exhibits and Batavia Access Television has a new home within the building. Named in honor of longtime Board President Pat Callahan, the center reflects the dedication, collaboration and shared vision of many individuals and partners who worked to make it a reality.
