It’s Back to School season and our associates in the June 2025 Retail Development Program recently joined one of our hometown charities, Freedom School Partners, to celebrate the “Great Day of D.E.A.R.” (Drop Everything And Read) at Pinewood Elementary in Charlotte, NC. Freedom School ‘s mission is to reduce summer learning loss and help students build resilience, cooperation, conflict resolution, and confidence. Their summer literacy and enrichment program focuses on student literacy skills and active reading while building personal libraries, participating in energy-filled activities, and building connections. In 2024, Freedom School served over 600 students with the help of over 1,600 volunteers, including Belk associates across our Home Office.   These associates had a wonderful afternoon interacting with students and modeling Belk’s core value of giving back to the community!   Thank you to all RDP associates who volunteered! #belk #community

Giving back is always in style! Belk recently hosted a professional attire shopping experience in Charlotte, NC for 78 Carolina Youth Coalition participants who are class of 2025 high school graduates. In addition to enjoying a store tour, the students met with our Campus Recruiting team to learn about professional development opportunities, went through a professional attire workshop, and met with stylists to learn all about the brands sold by Belk and how to put together professional looks. They then got to go on a shopping spree to build their professional wardrobe with a $500 Belk gift card provided by CPI Security, a Carolina Youth Coalition community partner. Thank you to the Belk SouthPark and Campus Recruiting teams and CPI Security who made the day so special for these students!

We’re SEW excited! Today we launched our much-anticipated collaboration between Crown & Ivy, Belk’s premier private label brand, and Sewing Down South ! This partnership with the lifestyle brand co-founded by Craig Conover, unscripted TV personality, author, and entrepreneur, is a celebration of our shared love of the South. We want to thank the incredible associates at Belk and Sewing Down South who made this collaboration come to life – including designing and sourcing nearly 100 items in the collection, creating stunning visual presentations, drumming up excitement on social media, and so much more! Their creativity and vision are on display in all Belk stores and a limited time pop-up shop next door to Sewing Down South’s flagship store in Charleston, SC. Over the next few months, these students will gain hands-on experience across a variety of teams, including Merchandising, Planning, Supply Chain Analytics, Omni Operations, Marketing, Customer Analytics, Software Engineering, Sourcing, and DC Operations. This past week in Charlotte, NC, Belk celebrated 53 incredible associates who achieved the highest levels of job performance or demonstrated excellence while giving back to their communities in 2024! The 2025 Best of Belk Awards Program included a keynote speech from former Carolina Panther and current Fox Sports analyst, Greg Olsen. The attendees then participated in a community giveback activity benefitting his charity, The HEARTest Yard, which helps pediatric cardiovascular patients and their families. Thanks to their efforts, we were able to assemble and deliver more than 500 activity kits for kids at Levine Children’s Hospital! The event culminated with an awards dinner and ceremony at Bank of America Stadium, the home of our sports partners, the Carolina Panthers. We’re so proud of these inspiring associates and happy to host them alongside their leaders in our hometown!
