About us
BETA Technologies is creating an electric transportation ecosystem that’s safe, reliable and sustainable. A relentlessly focused team is building an extensive charging infrastructure and ALIA, the world’s most technologically advanced electric vertical aircraft (EVA). BETA’s platform and products are strikingly simple. Prioritization of safety and a pragmatic approach to certification drive elegant redundancy, appropriate diversity of implementation and simplicity of control. ALIA’s fixed-pitch propellers and centrally located batteries make it an inherently stable aircraft that is safe to fly and easy to maneuver.

BETA’s years of real-world flight demonstrations provide operational evidence that supports the safety and reliability of electric propulsion, the foundation our commercial and military customers depend on. Every mile flown directly informs our engineering decisions and stepwise approach to certification. The eIPP will unlock high-cadence flight operations that generates the real-world data needed to safely scale electric aviation across the country.

The eVTOL Integration Pilot Program (eIPP), implemented by the U.S. Department of Transportation and the Federal Aviation Administration is a first-of-its-kind effort aligning government and industry to advance real-world operations of emerging aviation technologies. BETA is working alongside innovative state partners, trusted operators, and infrastructure leaders across the U.S. to bring the benefits of electric aviation to communities across the country.

We showed up in 2025. BETA engaged partners, customers, regulators, airports, investors, and the public across the U.S. and around the world. They didn’t just see electric flight in action; they got to know BETA and the electric aerospace ecosystem we’re building. This year-in-review brings those moments to life, in their words... BETA Technologies showed up in 2025. ✈️We crossed 100,000 total nautical miles of flight - each mile representing more testing, data collection, and real-world validation for our aircraft and team. 🌍We demonstrated the reality and safety of electric flight across 10 countries and at two global air shows, sharing it with customers, regulators, and the public - including the first electric passenger flight into John F. Kennedy International Airport. 🤝We strengthened the business through key partnerships, including GE Aerospace, to develop a hybrid-electric turbogenerator for Advanced Air Mobility applications. These continued votes of confidence carried through to our successful IPO in November. 🛠️We advanced our stepwise path to certification, earning FAA certification of our propeller in partnership alongside Hartzell. Next up is the certification of our motor in 2026. This progress is enabled by sustained relationships across Congress, the FAA, and the international regulatory community. ⚡️We continued to support the industry by expanding our global charging network, including the first aircraft chargers in the UAE. Our propulsion systems were selected by Eve Air Mobility, General Dynamics Applied Physical Sciences, and Textron eAviation. We are ready for 2026. 💥

Congratulations to the Eve Air Mobility team on a successful first flight of their prototype aircraft. A huge milestone for their program, and an exciting day for us here at BETA to see our motors spinning on their eVTOL. The team is cheering you on from Burlington!
“Today, Eve flew!” our CEO Johann C. Bordais celebrated, surrounded by cheering employees who have worked tirelessly to achieve this remarkable milestone. We’re thrilled to announce the successful completion of the first flight of our eVTOL prototype at Embraer’s test facility in Gavião Peixoto, Brazil, this morning. This achievement marks the start of our flight test phase. “This is a historical milestone for our employees, customers, investors and the entire ecosystem,” he added. Our CTO Luiz Felipe R Valentini noted that the prototype performed exactly as predicted. “We exercised our control laws, verified the integration of the eight lifters and assessed energy management, the aircraft’s dynamic response and noise footprint.” Next steps: we will conduct hundreds of flights throughout 2026 to gather the data required for type certification. “This flight gives the product a clear green light to advance what matters to operators: reliability, efficiency and simplicity,” added Jorge Bittencourt, our Chief Product Officer. Today we met with U.S. Department of Transportation Secretary Sean P. Duffy to hear firsthand how the Administration’s Advanced Air Mobility National Strategy will enable American-made electric aviation to scale. He underscored the economics of electric aviation, and the need for U.S. aerospace to stay on the cutting edge. It’s the decisiveness of the federal government that will keep the U.S. ahead, and BETA’s products are perfectly positioned to deliver on this vision.
