With more than 20 years of health system experience, he is widely recognized for advancing integrated, patient-centered pharmacy care and for his strong advocacy on behalf of the profession. A longtime MSHP leader and past president, Dr. Gilchrist has also been deeply engaged in legislative and policy efforts at the state level, providing testimony and helping shape pharmacy advocacy initiatives. His passion for advancing health system pharmacy practice and policy will be a tremendous asset to the ASHP House of Delegates. Congratulations, Dr. Gilchrist, on this well-deserved honor and thank you for your continued leadership and service to our profession.

Leaders from BILH, BIDMC, and Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Inc. recently joined Quincy and Massachusetts elected officials, as well as project leads from Consigli Construction Co., Inc. and FoxRock Properties to celebrate the structural steel “topping off” of the Beth Israel Lahey Health Care Center - Quincy. The 100,000 square foot multi-specialty ambulatory center will provide comprehensive healthcare services, including primary care, urgent care, a full suite of diagnostic radiology services, lab services and a retail pharmacy. Specialty services offered at the center will include cardiology, OBGYN, cancer care, orthopedics, podiatry, gastroenterology, and more. Slated to open in 2027, the facility is under construction at 55 General McConville Way in Quincy Center, adjacent to a new parking garage and just a short walk from the Quincy Center T-stop. BILH’s inaugural Sustainability Summit brought colleagues together across the system to celebrate and strengthen our commitment to environmental stewardship. 🌱 The event featured an awards program recognizing individuals and teams who have demonstrated leadership in reducing BILH’s environmental impact. Sixteen staff members were honored as this year’s Jane Matlaw Environmental Champion Awardees, and the work of an additional 22 staff members received Honorable Mention recognition. Thank you all for your leadership and dedication to sustainability!

We were proud to join hundreds of students at the 2025 Junior Achievement of Greater Boston Inspire event! BILH and BIDMC teams spent the day helping future leaders explore careers in health care—sharing hands-on activities, real-world insights, and the many paths that can lead to a meaningful career in caring for others.
