Together, we can provide critical care to neighbors facing homelessness. Right now across our city, thousands are facing the cold without safe shelter, nourishing meals or support. We can meet them with care and real connection. Don't Walk By volunteer opportunities include street canvassing, language interpretation and on-site services. Maurice’s life has felt like a roller coaster of highs and lows. Moving often, constantly changing jobs, strained relationships. He focused on putting the needs of his family ahead of his own. He eventually hit rock bottom, facing homelessness. A social worker referred him to The Bowery Mission where his life turned around by God’s grace. He's found the healing and stability he has long sought — with his finances, housing, faith and family. Last week’s coat distribution for our community was a great success thanks to our amazing partners and volunteers! 255 coats and 180 scarves were distributed at the event alone, with hundreds more available throughout this winter for our neighbors in need.
