Brown Harris Stevens reposted this
Manhattan recorded its strongest fall since 2021. November was softer than last year, but not because demand weakened. Buyers remained active through the mayoral election, rather than pausing as they did during the 2024 presidential cycle. As a result, demand remained steady throughout the season without the post-election “catch-up” spike we saw in 2024. The luxury segment continues to drive the market forward. This November ranks as the third-strongest November in the past decade for contract activity on properties priced at $4M+. Overall, the Manhattan market enters the winter season from a position of balance and stability. 👇 Full December Manhattan Market Update below:

"New York has been declared “dead” more times than any of us can count. It has survived fiscal crises, blackouts, 9/11, a global pandemic and it’s come back stronger every single time. You can change the mayor, the tax code or the headlines, but you can’t change the dynamism and resilience of this city."
