Since 2014, C&S has partnered with FoodCorps, a national nonprofit advancing child well-being through food in school. They partner with schools and communities to increase kids’ access to nourishing meals, food education, and community-rooted experiences with food. C&S supports FoodCorps' AmeriCorps service members in more than 200 schools nationwide and has connected the team with First Book and other resources for hands-on food education. On opening day of the Wisconsin State Fair, our Piggly Wiggly Midwest, LLC team — along with their families and friends — volunteered to collect healthy food donations for Hunger Task Force, Milwaukee’s only Free & Local food bank. Together, they helped gather a record-breaking 59,000 pounds of food to stock pantry shelves and provide local families with free, nutritious options at a time of growing need.
