We are so proud to announce that Rob Schutter has been awarded the Unity Through Generosity Award, one of OHI’s highest honors, celebrating his three decades of service, mentorship, and leadership. Congratulations, Rob!
The Outdoor Hospitality Industry is made so special by the people that live and breathe it every day. Throughout the week of our annual conference, we took time every day to celebrate individuals who have contributed so significantly that they'll forever be written in the history books as one of the greats. We also made sure to solidify those legacies with the presentation of our highest honors. One of those being the Unity Through Generosity Award which was proudly awarded to the great Robert Schutter, for being not just generous, but transformationally generous. 🏆 The Unity Through Generosity Award, named in honor of David L. Berg, a member of our community who embodied generosity and was a unifying force in our industry, goes to someone whose spirit, compassion, and contributions bring people together in the most powerful way. Sponsored by OHI, the OHI Foundation, the Maine Campground Owners Association (MECOA), and the Northeast Campground Association (NCA), this award honors the legacy of a peer whose dedication to community over self left an indelible mark on the industry we all share. 🌟 For more than 30 years, Rob has been a steady force in the National ARVC and now OHI community—leading, mentoring, and lifting others along the way. As President of Camp Jellystone and former President/COO of Leisure Systems, Inc., he’s shared his time, expertise, and generosity to push our industry forward. From his service as National ARVC Board Chair to his work with the OHI Foundation, Business Forum, and state associations, Rob is always the first to raise his hand, offer support, or spark a thoughtful conversation. Thank you, Rob, for your unwavering commitment to the Outdoor Hospitality Industry and the next generation who will carry it forward.
