Applications are now open for the Canon Volumetric Innovation Challenge at Arizona State University, presented by the ASU Media and Immersive eXperience (MIX) Center and the ASU Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts in collaboration with Canon USA. This challenge supports applied research and creative development using Canon’s prototype volumetric capture system, now installed at the ASU MIX Center. The technology enables fully navigable 3D video capture of real human motion through synchronized imaging and AI-driven Gaussian splat processing.
