It’s been an amazing day one of the Credo—Powered by Carnegie / Carnegie + American Association of Colleges and Universities (AAC&U) Leadership Institute. In over a decade of these convenings, maybe the most powerful to date… I’m still processing the brilliance and vulnerability of my STUNNING panelists Yves Salomon-Fernández, Ph.D., Francine Conway, and Kathryn Kay Coquemont, Ph.D., who brought the house down with our conversation about Leading with Energy in Unstable Times. We are all leaving with NOTES. Our dinner conversation with Alison Morrison-Shetlar, Dr. Nkenge Friday, and more amazing leaders was so rich, focused on leading with our values, spurred by Lynn Pasquerella’s presentation. I loved worlds colliding as Rachel Stephenson and Dr. Narketta Sparkman-Key got to know each other. Powerhouses, you two!!! And it was so, so special to share all this amazingness with my brilliant daughter Raven Eyl, here as our Event Intern for a second year, who is not only soaking this up like a sponge, but contributing to the conversation in real and meaningful ways. It took a lot for Kathryn Enke and I to get here this year - and I’m grateful for every moment that reinforces why community and shared experience is so important. And we have a whole second day tomorrow! WHEW goodnight folks!
