Cherokee Nation and Mercy Hospital Fort Smith recently celebrated the groundbreaking of a new cancer treatment center, a collaboration that will improve access to cancer care in the region! ❤️ Cherokee Nation Principal Chief Chuck Hoskin Jr. and Cherokee Nation Deputy Principal Chief Bryan Warner spoke about Cherokee Nation’s decision to invest $8 million to support this state-of-the-art cancer treatment center and how it will have a life-saving impact on Cherokee Nation citizens and our non-Cherokee neighbors being diagnosed or battling cancer. Our tribe’s collaboration with Mercy will change the face of cancer care in this region, an example of our Cherokee value of “gadugi”: working together for the greater good. 🤝
