Last night’s "I Am NYC: Community Drawing Together” art show brought together teens, families, and community members in a powerful celebration of identity, connection, and creativity. Facilitated by teen leaders from our Lexington Academy as part of the “More Life, Rise Above Hate” program, youth created self-portraits highlighting the words, imagery, and pride they feel as New Yorkers. Over 100 attendees explored 36 unique portraits, enjoyed refreshments, and supported a petition advocating for anti-hate and anti-bias curriculum in NY schools. #ChildrensAidNYC #YouthVoices #RiseAboveHate #ArtsForChange #IAmNYC
