ICYMI: every year, compassion takes FLIGHT at the Uptown 5K on the Runway! ✈️🧡 This past Saturday, Fort Lauderdale came together at FXE for the 7th annual 5K on the Runway, where people, not planes, took off on the runway. To Trustbridge Hospice Foundation and everyone who walked and ran with heart: this event is a success year after year because of YOU. 🫶 Shout out to Team FTL at #FlyFXE for the hard work before, during, and after the event & to FXE Director Rufus James for keeping the annual dunk tank tradition alive! 💦

The City of Fort Lauderdale extends heartfelt thanks to everyone who has donated supplies to support families impacted by #HurricaneMelissa. Your generosity has been overwhelming, and together with Food For The Poor, we’ve collected thousands of essential items for communities in Jamaica and across the Caribbean. As of today, we are no longer accepting physical donations at Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue stations or Police Headquarters. All collected supplies will now be sorted, packed, and shipped ahead of the November 30 customs deadline. Neighbors who want to continue supporting recovery efforts can visit 🔗 ftlcity.info/caribrelief for more information.
