Clanrye Group win OCNNI Provider of the Year! We are over the moon that Clanrye Group have picked up a very important award at the OCNNI Awards in Titanic Quarters Belfast. We have been awarded the title of OCNNI Provider of the Year and couldn't be prouder. Representing CG at the ceremony are Kyle Hillis, Jackie Campbell, Lorna Lundy, Mandy Mc Clean and Richard Gough. Well done to everyone involved. A little snippet from our story... "Clanrye Group stands out as a beacon of community support, having dedicated over 40 years to empowering individuals and driving positive life changes. At the heart of its mission is the commitment to support those furthest removed from the labour market, with transformative impacts in areas such as social inclusion, health and well-being, training, skills development, and employability. Clanrye Group’s integration of OCN qualifications across a wide range of programmes has been instrumental in bringing about this change, offering participants the opportunity to gain the qualifications, confidence, and skills they need to succeed." #DELIGHTED to help launch a pioneering new initiative aimed at supporting adults with moderate learning difficulties (MLD) in Newry City today to mark Learning Disability Week. The pilot scheme, 'Together Works' which was launched by the Economy Minister, Caoimhe Archibald brings together a coalition of community organisations and local businesses to deliver a scalable social enterprise model which focuses on inclusion, development and therapeutic employment. 'Together Works' offers adults with MLD the opportunity to build practical, work-ready skills, earn therapeutic income and feel fully integrated within their communities. The programme is being delivered in partnership by the Chamber, Clanrye Group, Southern Regional College and Newry Gateway Club. Up to 30 participants will initially engage in fulfilment-based services for local businesses, which may include packing, sorting, assembly and inventory management, delivered as part of a structured and supportive programme. Over the summer, the Chamber looks forward to working with our members to help shape how 'Together Works' can meet their needs while advancing their commitment to inclusion and equality. The Together Works pilot will open for participation by both individuals and businesses in the coming weeks, with the hope of having the first cohort of participants in place by September.
