ComAv Technical Services and Southern California Logistics Airport Partner to Expand Aircraft Storage with Foreign Trade Zone Designation VICTORVILLE, CA – July 14, 2025 – ComAv Technical Services, a leading provider of commercial aircraft maintenance, repair, overhaul (MRO), and storage solutions, is partnering with Southern California Logistics Airport (SCLA) to secure a Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) designation for its expansive aircraft storage facilities. This strategic initiative aims to strengthen SCLA’s position as a global hub for aviation services while providing significant operational and financial benefits to ComAv’s clients. The FTZ designation—expected mid-August 2025—will offer airlines, lessors, and other aviation stakeholders key advantages when utilizing ComAv’s storage services at SCLA. FTZ status allows businesses to defer or reduce customs duties and taxes on imported goods until they enter the U.S. market, resulting in substantial cost savings and improved cash flow. SCLA already benefits from a general-purpose FTZ designation, granted in July 2000 to promote international commerce. The addition of a site-specific FTZ designation for ComAv’s storage area will further solidify SCLA’s role as a key player in the global aviation industry. The upcoming FTZ designation will further elevate ComAv and SCLA’s joint capability to offer unmatched storage and maintenance solutions—supporting both short- and long-term needs and reinforcing the region’s reputation as a vital center for global aviation.   Contact: Arlen Frogge Vice President, Customer Relations & Account Management Email: Arlen.Frogge@comav.com Phone: 760-221-7926
