☕ “If you love coffee — if you enjoy, every morning, your cup of coffee, you have to think about how you are going to be able to maintain that pleasure in the long term.” It's estimated that by 2050, suitable land to grow #coffee will reduce by 50%. #Colombia is a country with soaring agricultural growth, producing fresh fruits, vegetables, dairy, cocoa — and yes, coffee — but land degradation poses a serious threat. If not solved for, the loss of healthy, farmable land in Colombia has the potential to disrupt global supply chains and food security worldwide. That's why reVive — a technical assistance hub launched from a partnership between Conservation International and IDH — is seeking to reverse land degradation by focusing on the private sector. Read about reVive and its partnership with innovative, impactful coffee supply chain company Biodiversal in the next installment of our Impact Story Series below.
