Eunice, LA (May 2019) Before our multi-state growth began, Crest Industries — our parent company — purchased a processing facility in Eunice, LA, previously operated under another company. After a careful assessment, the facility was cleared, reorganized, and opened for DIS-TRAN Steel operations in May 2019. This move allowed us to shift critical processing work out of Pineville, freeing up valuable space in our main operations. With this added capacity, we were able to introduce new equipment, enabling us to improve efficiency and expand our production capabilities. Today, our Eunice facility plays a vital role by supporting and feeding the Pineville production line, enhancing workflow and strengthening every step of our manufacturing process. Washington Court House, OH (February 2021) As demand for steel poles increased across the Ohio Valley, Northeast, and Upper Midwest, we knew expanding our footprint would be essential to meeting customer needs. After analyzing labor availability, reviewing customer locations, and studying long-term market trends, the Ohio Valley emerged as the ideal next step. What we found was a facility that mirrored the size and capability of our Pineville Plant 3 — with plenty of land for future growth and a community whose culture aligned perfectly with our values of integrity, respect, and continuous improvement. In February 2021, we opened our doors in Washington Court House, OH. This 58,000-square-foot facility added significant capacity, allowing us to expand production of our tapered tubular steel poles. Since opening, the facility has already grown — and continues to grow — as we meet the rising needs of the electric utility industry. Chicago Heights, IL (October 2021) As production increased in Washington Court House, we recognized the need for stronger plate processing capabilities. We had been using an outside facility to support the Ohio operations, but long-term demand required more capacity — and more control. We also anticipated needing a new press, with a two-year lead time if we built one ourselves. But an opportunity arose: a fully equipped facility in Chicago Heights, IL, complete with the machinery we needed. In October 2021, the Chicago Heights location officially became part of DIS-TRAN Steel, bringing on a talented regional workforce and boosting our capacity immediately. The expansion allowed us to strengthen our supply chain and provide even greater value to customers throughout the Midwest and Ohio Valley.

When we grow our people, we strengthen our future. This belief is at the heart of our Foundational Leadership Course (FLC). Over sixteen weeks, this year's cohort embraced growth—leaning into challenges, learning from one another, and discovering the impact they can make when they lead with intention. We’re proud to celebrate these emerging leaders, including our Beta teammates: Kevin Vercher, Tim Powell, Daimen Moody, Demarcus Horton, PMP and Cale Smith. And a special shoutout to Demarcus and Cale, who earned this cohort’s Black Belt Awards—an honor given to participants who go above and beyond in their engagement, insight, and contributions throughout the course.
