For over a decade, DFAS has consistently earned clean Service Organization Control (SOC) 1 audit reports, demonstrating our unwavering commitment to financial accuracy and internal controls. This year, we achieved unmodified opinions for Civilian Pay, Disbursing, Contract Pay, the Defense Cash Accountability System (DCAS), plus five Vendor Pay systems!  What does this mean for the warfighter?  It means: Reliable Pay: Ensuring our controls for paying 6.4M service members, military retirees and annuitants, and DoD and Federal civilians are in place and passing audit, allowing them to focus on the mission.  Contractor Confidence: Giving defense contractors assurance of our controls for payments are in place and passing audit, enabling them to provide critical resources to our armed forces. Last year, we paid 13.3 million commercial invoices. Taxpayer Trust: Demonstrating responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars and building confidence in DoD financial operations. These audits aren't just about compliance; they're about supporting the warfighter by ensuring the financial backbone of the DoD is strong and reliable. We are proud to support those who serve!
