Dispatch Is Accelerating the Future of Energy - Green Lantern Acquisition: Solar generation has expanded nearly eightfold over the past decade — and Dispatch is leading the next wave of both solar and dispatchable generation. Our acquisition of Green Lantern Solar adds 64 solar and battery storage projects totaling 208.9 MWdc, accelerating our mission to build the country’s most dynamic clean-energy platform. This acquisition meaningfully expands Dispatch’s footprint across key markets in the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Midwest. Big week for Dispatch Energy! Great work by Patrick Gilmartin, Viola Echebima, Terrance Cameron, Shannon Butler, Rebecca Koze, Maya Spalding-Fecher (our outstanding intern), and our consultant, Jenn Rist, PMP. This is objectively a cool project. We’re using solar to power oil extraction. Need more of this!
In line with our mission to reinforce American energy production, Dispatch Energy has acquired 32MW of solar projects in California from San Diego developer Luminia. These two solar projects expand our footprint in California and will deliver renewable energy that is expected to lower offtaker operating costs while supporting the state’s broader sustainability goals. Working with California Resources Corporation, we expect these projects will help make energy more affordable for Californians while meaningfully reducing carbon emissions from the energy production process. Dispatch Energy is grateful to Luminia and California Resources Corporation for their collaboration in advancing this transaction to further accelerate vital renewable energy solutions across California.

In his The New York Times Opinion piece, Tyler Norris points to a key solution to meeting America’s AI and data center-driven electricity problem: distributed generation. Tyler Norris writes: “The solution is simple: Ask the largest power users to draw a little less from the grid during the limited hours when it’s most strained. They can do that by running briefly on batteries, using electricity generated on site or shifting workloads. Average Americans would never notice — emails would still send, chatbots would still respond and websites would still load — but the grid would breathe a little easier.” At Dispatch, we believe that distributed energy, from battery storage to fuel cells, is key to supporting our economy.
