Donor Network of Arizona reposted this
Just wrapped up my third strategic planning retreat this year with DNA. I’m continually amazed at the work we’ve accomplished over the past couple of years, and I’m excited for what’s still ahead. People have recently asked me what keeps me here, and at the heart of it, it’s simple: the people and their passion for saving and healing lives. It’s unlike anywhere I’ve ever worked. I caught myself thinking yesterday, “How lucky am I to serve at an organization like this?” Truth is, I love what I do. This year we had some fun with themes, and our Workforce Excellence goal team went with Camp Workforce: Elevating Excellence 🏕️. We played the role of camp counselors, guiding our workforce through challenges and growth. I’m excited to keep leading alongside my amazing co-counselors as we head into this next year.

Spending a few minutes at the airport thinking back on three remarkable days of strategic planning with 70+ passionate colleagues from Donor Network of Arizona. Against breathtaking desert vistas, this wasn't just about navigating today's turbulent landscape – it was about charting a course toward saving more lives with unwavering integrity, promise, and hope. Four years into our partnership, we challenge each other, support each other, and spark new perspectives. We've built trust through strategic results: hundreds of additional lives saved. Stepping out of our comfort zones together, balancing the hard work of strategic thinking with the joy of being alongside incredible colleagues. From Golden Goals that inspire us to Strategic Systems that will sustain us, every conversation and activity was anchored in commitment - to the people and communities they serve, their valued partners, and their amazing team. The Arizona beauty reminded me of why this work matters – just as these stunning landscapes endure, adapt, and flourish, so do the communities that our clients serve. United by purpose, setting sights on breakthrough solutions that will transform how lives are saved through donation and transplantation. #StrategicPlanning #SavingLives #Transformation #NavigatingChallengingTimes #StratexSolutions

🌟Meet Sara Sears, Organ Referral Liaison for Organ Donor Optimization🌟 Sara personally knows the impact of donation - her father-in-law received a heart transplant that gave him another 15 years with his family. Now, as an ORL, Sara monitors patients that have been referred to DNA for medical suitability and also works with our Donor Legacy team to introduce them to families at the right time. She states, "it's a delicate balancing act, for certain, but I love my job!" She expressed that something interesting that people may not know about her job is "the amount of flexibility it truly requires. I have to know a little bit about a LOT of things and every shift is so different. You have to be prepared for anything!" 👉 Thank you for all you do, Sara!
