This summer, the East Bay Community Foundation team has been making visits to organizations that are part of an African American Holistic Wellness and Resource Hub organized by Contra Costa County and supported by EBCF. Grace Arms of Antioch is a community church and nonprofit that provides housing services, a food and clothing pantry, mentoring, child care, after school and summer programs. The program has grown from two days of weekly programming to five days a week, serving hundreds of community members and families. EBCF's Zakiyyah Brewer and Autumn McDonald met with Minister Anita Thomas and Anthony Randolph, two committed leaders who are rooted in their community. They told EBCF that they have a bold vision, and even more plans to expand their services and facilities. We're excited for the future of Grace Arms! Stay tuned for more exciting updates from the wellness program in the coming weeks.
