Four Fun Facts Featuring Jennifer Salmon: 🛰️ Record-Breaking Satellite Deployment 🛰️ Jennifer led the payload team for the highest-capacity broadband communications satellite ever launched back in 2017. She and her team designed and delivered this state-of-the-art satellite to provide internet to many of you in North America today! 📄 Space & Satellite Industry Leadership 📄 Jennifer co-authored a paper, changing the foundational industry understanding of multicarrier contributions to Passive Intermodulation (PIM). This work earned her the SSPI Promise Award in 2015! 🏹 Traditional Longbow Archery 🏹 Jennifer practices traditional longbow shooting to connect with nature using instinctive technique. Archery has been a long-standing hobby in her family, with her parents, sibling, spouse, and children all participating in the fun. 🛠️ Garage Built From the Ground Up 🛠️ Her house is always busy. During COVID, Jennifer and her husband designed and built a 625 sq-ft workshop, including framing, sheetrock, roofing, electrical, and plumbing. It gave them the space they needed to work on new hobbies (and to embrace old ones: the pool table is finally out of the living room and does not need to double as a diaper-changing station).

The pioneers of TWTA technology built the foundation for modern mmWave systems. Their work paved the way for solutions that deliver output power with much lower energy use.
