Calling all bike technicians & cycling pros! 🚲 We’re looking for volunteer bike techs to keep our riders rolling smoothly during Cycle for Shelter on Sunday, September 14th. Techs are responsible for helping riders with quick repairs such as flat tires, chain issues, brake adjustments or other minor fixes to keep them safely on their way. Techs are needed at our rest stops at North Hampton Beach from 7:30 am to 10 am and Second Congregational Church of Boxford from 9 am to 3 pm. Whether you can cover for the full time frame or part of the day, your skills will make a HUGE difference in helping our cyclists go the distance 🔧🚴♀️ Interested (or know someone who might be)? A huge thank you to the generosity of our community! Over 150 backpacks filled with school supplies were donated to support Emmaus kids heading back to school! 🎒 From crayons and scissors to notebooks and folders, every bag was packed with essentials to help students feel prepared and confident on their first day. These backpacks will benefit: 📚 60+ K–12 students at our Family Shelter 🏠 20+ students living in permanent supportive housing 💛 12 students in home-based stabilization programs …and any others who join our Emmaus family during the school year. This wouldn't have been possible without our incredible donors—SUS Made, Community Giving Tree, Benchmark Senior Living, Ozzie’s Kids, One Connection Church, Jaffarian Volvo Toyota, Haverhill Public Schools and other generous anonymous donors—as well as to our volunteers who helped sort and fill every bag. Calling all massage therapists, PTs, and fitness professionals! ✨🚴♂️ We’re looking for volunteers to help our riders relax and recover after their Cycle for Shelter rides on Sunday, September 14, between 11 am and 3:30 pm at Northern Essex Community College. We'll have a massage service and wellness area with yoga mats for stretching, and we’d love to have massage therapists (or those in related fields) offer short sessions to our cyclists.
