Safe spaces don’t just happen. They’re created — intentionally. With empathy. With awareness. With care. In a world where voices are often interrupted, dismissed, or misunderstood — a safe space is more than just a room. It’s a feeling. It’s knowing you can speak without being judged. It’s being heard without being silenced. It’s being seen — fully and freely. For women, especially, safe spaces are not a luxury — they’re a necessity. Because too often, we second-guess ourselves before speaking. We shrink to fit in. We carry the invisible weight of expectations, bias, and the fear of being “too much” — or not enough. Take this moment: A young woman, early in her career, joins a new team. She’s bright, ambitious — but quiet. She watches how others speak, how jokes are made, how feedback is handled. And so, she holds back. One day in a team meeting, a senior leader pauses and says: "We haven’t heard from you yet — and I’d really value your perspective." Not performative. Not forced. Just genuine curiosity and respect. That moment changed everything. She spoke up — and kept speaking. Later, she led projects. Then people. Not because someone gave her a voice — but because someone created a space where her voice felt safe. At Shakti, we believe that safe spaces should never be left to chance. We’re building ecosystems of trust — where women can grow without fear, lead without apology, and connect without pretense. Where confidence is built not by competition — but by community. So tell me — Who has been a safe space for you? Or when did you feel truly safe to be you? Tag them. Celebrate them. Let’s keep creating more of those spaces — together. #Shakti #SafeSpaces #WomenEmpowerment #Leadership #PsychologicalSafety #Inclusion #Community #WorkplaceWellbeing #LinkedInReflections

🌸 Today’s Woman: Redefining Power with Purpose 🌸 She’s not just juggling roles — she’s rewriting the script. From boardrooms to Zoom calls, daycare drop-offs to deadlines, today’s working woman isn’t merely balancing life — she’s building a better one. At Shakti, we honor her every step of the way. Like most of you, I have seen my mother do it all. She woke up before the sun — often by 5 a.m. — quietly moving through the kitchen as the rest of the house slept. She packed multiple lunchboxes, brewed chai for a house full of people, get us ready for school and had breakfast ready before anyone asked. By 8.30 she would catch the bus to work — saree perfectly pinned, hair neatly tied — where she led her team with quiet strength. After a full day’s work, she would come home and dive straight into helping us with homework, managing household needs, and keeping the peace among different personalities in our big, joint family. And she did all of this without ever complaining. Back then, there was no concept of ordering in because you were tired. Eating out was a rare luxury — something we all looked forward to, not an everyday fallback. She did it all — with grace, grit, and a kind of silent leadership that shaped the way I see strength today. That was leadership — long before we called it that. Today’s woman carries that same spirit — but now with a voice, with choice, and with a growing network of support. 🔹 She leads at work, and at home. 🔹 She sets goals, builds teams, mentors others. 🔹 She no longer waits for permission — she builds the table, and invites others to sit. But let’s not romanticize resilience. Behind every modern-day success is a complex reality — of burnout, bias, glass ceilings, childcare gaps, and unpaid labor that still disproportionately falls on women. That’s why we built Shakti. To bring back women into the workforce. To uplift those who stepped away. To open doors that were never meant to be closed. To say: You’re not alone. Whether you’re a woman restarting your career, a manager seeking to hire for impact, or simply someone who wants to build an equitable future — there’s space for you here. Because today’s woman doesn’t just work — she leads, she builds, she transforms. And with Shakti, she does it with a community beside her. #Shakti #WomenInWork #ReturnToWork #WorkingWomen #DiversityHiring #Leadership #ShaktiRising #EmpowerHer #EquityInAction #RealStoriesRealChange

Celebrating Women Who Inspire, Lead, and Innovate! 🌟 Sunita Williams embodies courage, resilience, and excellence in space exploration. Her journey inspires generations to reach for the stars and break barriers! #WomenInSTEM #InspiringLeaders
Space Sector Storyteller | Content Creator | Liaison-builder | Events to inspire | Ambassador for your mission | Tech-for-Good Enthusiast (in Space & here on Earth) | Women-In-STEM Cheerleader – Montreal/Colorado
𝗦𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝗶𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴! 👩🏼🚀 👊🏼 Poor, Sunita Williams, 59 years old, was "stranded" in space for 9 months... (Along her fellow astronaut, Butch Wilmore.) -- 𝙔𝙚𝙖𝙝, 𝙧𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩! Suni Williams, is a force of nature! Suni Williams flew combat missions as a Navy pilot. Over 3,000 flight hours in 30 different aircraft. She ranks among the most experienced. She walked in space nine times, spending 62+ hours in spacewalks (current record-holder for most hours by a woman and 4th overall). She ran a full, four-hour marathon 𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝗿𝗯𝗶𝘁 in 2007, the first person ever to do it. (Yes, while the ISS circled Earth at some 17,500 miles (28,163 km) per hour.) She completed a triathlon in space too, in 2012: biking, running without gravity, and swimming (strapped herself to the Advanced Resistive Exercise Device (ARED), which uses weights to imitate water resistance while swimming through anti-gravity.) In 2024, she flew Starliner’s test flight, the first woman to pilot a new spacecraft. Nine months in space, she returned safely to Earth yesterday, March 18, 2025. Sunita is a force of nature, an inspiring story and individual, and a role model of a human being. Welcome home, Suni! You inspire us all to aim higher. (BTW, they were never stranded on the space station. And their 280-day stay is now the sixth-longest mission in NASA history - so no, not the longest by far.) An emphasis on this International Women's History month, Suni has her name marked in the books of #InspiringWomen! [Additionally, edit: Suny and Butch are also the only two astronauts to have flown aboard four different spacecraft: ✨ NASA's Space Shuttle ✨ Roscosmos' Soyuz ✨ Boeing Starliner ✨ SpaceX Dragon A rare club of two! Here’s their incredible flight history: 🚀 Suni Williams' missions: Space Shuttle – STS-116 (2006) Soyuz – TMA-05M (2012) Boeing Starliner – Crew Flight Test (2024) SpaceX Dragon – Crew-9 (2024) 🚀 Butch Wilmore's missions: Space Shuttle – STS-129 (2009) Soyuz – TMA-14M (2014) Boeing Starliner – Crew Flight Test (2024) SpaceX Dragon – Crew-9 (2024)] (Incredible info in the 'aditionally, edit', thanks to Bettina Inclán for that.) #IWD25 #WomenHistoryMonth #WomeninAviation

When Women Lead, the Future Transforms Confidence is contagious, and when women step up boldly, they inspire others to do the same. Grateful to see incredible leaders like Sheila Rohra and Anousheh Ansari fostering conversations that drive impact, innovation, and change! 🌟 #WomenInLeadership #Innovation #BreakingBarriers
As technology evolves at lightning speed, women have a unique opportunity to drive impact, spark innovation, and create new pathways for others to follow. But progress doesn’t happen in isolation—it happens when we come together, share insights, and lift each other up. That’s exactly what The Female Quotient did with Hitachi Vantara, hosting an evening of connection and conversation with powerhouse leaders Sheila Rohra and Anousheh Ansari. Sheila said it best: “Confidence is contagious—so show up boldly. When you own your power in public, others feel inspired to do the same.” When women lead with confidence, we accelerate progress, open doors for the next generation, and ensure that we are shaping the future of business.

Celebrating Trailblazing Women: 2025 to Mark the Final Phase of the American Women’s Quarters Program The American Women’s Quarters Program, which aims to honor and celebrate the legacies of influential women in American history, will feature five remarkable women in 2025: Juliette Gordon Low, the founder of the Girl Scouts; Vera Rubin, the groundbreaking astronomer; Stacey Park Milbern, a fierce disability rights activist; Althea Gibson, a tennis pioneer; and Ida B. Wells, a courageous journalist and women’s rights advocate. This initiative will mark the final phase of the program, which has worked to balance U.S. currency by adding women to the face of quarters—a space historically dominated by men. These new designs represent a step forward in recognizing the vital contributions women have made in shaping the country. Looking forward to seeing these incredible women’s legacies reflected in our currency! #Shakti #WomensHistory #GenderEquality #RepresentationMatters #AmericanWomensQuarters
