About us

Enviva is the world’s largest producer of sustainable wood pellets, a renewable alternative to fossil fuels. We manufacture our wood pellets using sustainable practices while maintaining and improving the health of our forests and reducing greenhouse gas emissions on a lifecycle basis around the world. Our wood pellets are exported through our deep-water marine terminals to customers in the United Kingdom, the European Union, Japan, and beyond, helping to accelerate the energy transition and de-fossilize hard-to-abate sectors like steel, cement, lime, chemicals, and aviation fuels. Enviva operates plants and ports in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia, with corporate offices in four countries, employing more than 1,300 people around the globe. Together, we are dedicated to building a renewable energy future for generations to come. Enviva’s mission is to displace fossil fuels, grow more trees, and fight climate change.

Enviva is proud to share that our Waycross, Georgia plant has been honored by the Waycross-Ware County Chamber of Commerce as this year’s “A Great Place to Work” award recipient. Congratulations to the entire Waycross team on this outstanding recognition! This award is presented to just one business annually and voted on by all Chamber members. While the Waycross plant received the distinction, the Chamber also acknowledged Enviva’s broader culture of supporting our people and valuing them as our greatest asset. Thank you to the Chamber, to our Waycross team, and to everyone across Enviva whose hard work and dedication help make Waycross and all our facilities a truly great place to work! #EnvivaProud

Enviva volunteers helped deliver a little Thanksgiving cheer in Hamlet, North Carolina, preparing and distributing more than 400 holiday bags filled with Cornish hens, vegetables, and snacks to residents across Richmond County. A big thank you to Faith Outreach Ministries and the Town of Dobbins Heights for helping make this annual event possible. It’s a joy to support our neighbors and share the spirit of the season! #EnvivaProud #HappyThanksgiving #HappyHolidays

Ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday, Enviva volunteers spent time restocking the Food Bank of the Lakelands pantry in Greenwood, South Carolina last week. The Food Bank plays an important role in reducing hunger and supporting health and wellness across the Lakelands, and we are grateful for the opportunity to lend a hand during this time of year. Shout-out to our volunteers—Hunter Adams, Krystal Anderson, Andrea Bronson, Jordan Frye, Randall Jay, and Greg Pollard—for their time and teamwork! #EnvivaProud #HappyHolidays

Enviva Ahoskie was thrilled to support this year’s community turkey distribution in downtown Ahoskie, North Carolina, where 400 turkeys and additional holiday food items were shared with local families. Thank you to our Enviva volunteers—Vince Anderson, Steve Booher, Chris Brown, Robby Bullock, Tyler Hill, Mike Leary, Scarlett Nahas, Chase Riddick, Lauren Robertson, and Doug Roche—who helped load cars, distribute items, and ensure a joyful and welcoming experience for all. Hats off to Mayor Weyling White, Councilman David Hunt, and former NC Representative Howard Hunter for leading another well-organized and impactful event that continues to grow each year. Enviva has been a proud partner in this event for the past six years, and we look forward to continuing our support for the community throughout the holiday season and beyond! #EnvivaProud #HappyThanksgiving

Our annual holiday turkey distribution is underway, and Enviva teams across our communities are working to help brighten the holidays for local families.   Associates distributed turkeys to families in Epes and greater Sumter County, joined by Livingston Mayor James “Bird” Dial, Sumter County Commission Chairman Marcus Campbell, Sumter County Department of Human Resources Director Tamera Smith, and Epes City Council Member Charlie Jackson.   Enviva’s determination to make a difference guides our efforts, and we appreciate the partnership of local leaders as we come together to support our neighbors.   We especially love this time of year and the opportunity to give back, and we are grateful to associates Ashley Fedrick, Ty Parker, and Rick Frederick for helping make the day a success! #EnvivaProud #SumterCounty #HappyThanksgiving

Enviva was proud to support two important gatherings for landowners and forest stewards over the last few weeks. On November 7, we sponsored and exhibited at the Center for Heirs’ Property Preservation’s (CHP) 10th Annual Landowners Symposium in Summerville, South Carolina. This milestone event underscored our strong partnership with CHP and their vital work to share knowledge, strengthen relationships, and safeguard the future of family land. The Symposium featured sessions on law, forestry, and conservation. We were also glad to see another strong turnout at this year’s Sustainable Forestry & Land Retention Project (SFLRP) Landowner Conference in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, where more than 175 participants came together to learn from experts across private, state, and federal organizations on a variety of sustainable forestry topics and resources. Enviva was proud to take part, with Lauren Robertson, Commodity Manager, and Chris Brown, Senior Manager, Community Relations speaking on the “Forest Products in Your Area” panel, and Angela Wiggins, Community Relations Manager, representing Enviva at our booth. We are grateful for the opportunity to work alongside partners like CHP and SFLRP to empower landowners, strengthen the future of our forests, and support thriving communities. #EnvivaProud

Enviva team members recently joined in two events supporting organizations making a positive impact in their communities.   At the Sampson Arts Council’s annual Golf Fore the Arts tournament in Salemburg, North Carolina, Enviva colleagues Hunter Sizemore, Scott Douglas, Steven Fulton, Josh Wearley, Daniel Crawford, Pete Larghe, and Bradley Weatherington hit the green to help raise funds that support local arts and cultural programs in Sampson County.   Meanwhile, in South Carolina, Enviva participated in the Sporting Clays for Conservation event hosted by the Upper Savannah Land Trust. Led by Enviva’s Blake Latimer, the team brought home a 3rd place finish in support of efforts to protect farms, forests, waterways, and open spaces across South Carolina’s western Piedmont region.   A big thank-you to our associates for their teamwork and engagement in the community! #EnvivaProud
