We recently offered a combo load of beautiful New York State produce - 10 pallets of potatoes, 5 pallets of cucumbers, 5 pallets of yellow squash, and 1 pallet of zucchini - and our friends at feedingwestchester said YES! Huge thanks to their team for helping us get this produce to the people who need it most. Today we say a heartfelt farewell to Dan Egan, whose leadership and dedication have left a lasting mark on our mission. Thanks to Dan’s vision and the strong foundation he built, we’re well-positioned to continue our important work without missing a beat. We also want to send a big thank you to Kathleen Stress, who will step in as Interim Executive Director while our board conducts a national search for the next ED. Last week, Feeding New York State and Island Harvest presented FNYS's Hunger Champion Award to Uncle Giuseppe's Marketplace in Long Island. Since launching their donation program just over a year ago, they’ve donated more than 250,000 pounds of food. Though they couldn’t join us at our Annual Summit in June, we made sure to honor their incredible support in the fight against hunger.
