Add an independent, ASIL-capable rail for ESP, steer-by-wire, radar or camera modules and keep them alive if the primary converter falters - true technology, ready for every modular EV platform. ✅ 𝗠𝗮𝘅𝗶𝗺𝘂𝗺 𝗳𝗹𝗲𝘅𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆: Designed to work with any primary converter, with no bundle purchase, no lock-in, and no redesign. In low-demand vehicles such as micro-cars, the air-cooled unit can even serve as the primary converter alone, delivering sufficient power with no secondary unit required. Today’s converters are typically designed for maximum simultaneous demand, a setup that rarely reflects real driving. If OEMs allocate loads through software, energy can flow exactly where it’s needed - making architectures lighter, more cost-efficient, and more sustainable. Our 𝗛𝗩 𝗗𝗖/𝗗𝗖 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿 is designed to support exactly this shift- delivering smart redundancy, secured safety, and seamless integration. Every day, our Quatro Barras team in Brazil builds the seat frames and tracks for 6,000 cars. That’s thousands of backrests, cushions, tracks, and cross-car beams for three major European automakers. And they’ve been doing it for nearly 30 years. (Some teammates have been here since the plant opened in 1997!) Their expertise runs deep in key safety and regulations processes (from logistics to advanced welding technologies). Quatro Barras is a plant with a strong high-performance culture. It’s also a plant that knows how to evolve. Since 2017, a dedicated team has been tracking water, energy, and natural gas consumption across every area, keeping each line running efficiently and sustainably. Shoutout to this plant committed to quality, innovation, and ensuring excellence for our customers!

These photos pull you right back into the behind-the-scenes of headlamp assembly at FORVIA HELLA in 1950. What you don’t see, though, is the wave of innovation behind it all. For the VW Beetle headlamps, teams used rubber conveyor belts for the first time. As production volumes soared, they added a second assembly level. Finished parts were lifted to a central packaging floor, which was a pretty smart setup for the time. Later, hanging-tray conveyors replaced the lifts as the teams adapted to new challenges. More than 70 years later, we’re proud to carry forward that legacy, building on craftsmanship and history. This legacy is above all our ability to evolve our production methods with agility to meet our customers’ needs.

Designing for sustainability is what shapes how we engineer at FORVIA. This month’s newsletter breaks down how we’re cutting CO₂ through smarter materials, lighter designs, and practical eco-design steps that teams already use every day. A big thank you to Carla GOHIN, Vanessa PICRON, and Monique Danielou for setting the vision in this edition’s editorial—and to Anna Rossi and Gideon Kanne, along with many others at FORVIA, who turn big ambitions into real engineering and Scope 3 progress. If you want to see what sustainable car design really looks like in practice, give it a read 👇

Reducing the weight and cost of a car means reducing the weight and cost of every component. Even the ones you never see, like the electronics hidden deep inside. That’s exactly what our Electronics teams did with the Silver Box Infotainment. This module, tucked behind the dashboard, connects the display and audio components. And thus powers a vehicle’s infotainment system. The issue? Until now, it was made of metal — heavier, more expensive. So our teams re-engineered it in plastic — lighter, more cost-efficient. And thanks to rigorous mechanical design plus extensive testing and validation, it delivers the same high performance and reliability our customers expect. The result: an innovative Silver Box now featured in several Stellantis models, including the Berlingo, Combo, and Doblo, helping the brand meet the goals of its strategic plan and its social and environmental commitments. The CLEPA Innovation Awards recognize MATERI'ACT for its sustainable car interior material, IniCycled-P ELV! Today, only 19% of automotive plastics are recycled. But material-focused policies are now pushing innovation in sustainable materials. In Europe, the EU Directive on End-of-Life Vehicles is expected to introduce stricter requirements for circularity. And that also means more plastics will be recovered from end-of-life vehicles and reintegrated into a closed-loop system. IniCycled-P puts us and MATERI’ACT ahead of the curve: ✅Developed and produced with 20% end-of-life content, sourced from bumper dismantling and advanced sorting and compounding. ✅Delivers a 25% CO2 reduction from cradle to gate compared to virgin grades. ✅Already in serial production with a major French carmaker and validated by two European OEMs, as it meets all standards for visible interior parts! Mechanical strength, check. Crash resistance, check. Surface durability, check. Cabin air quality, check. CLEPA - European Association of Automotive Suppliers

Some milestones deserve a moment, and our San Juan del Río Electronic plant just reached one of them: over 30 years of Ford Q1 Certification! Ford Q1 is one of the most demanding and prestigious quality recognitions a supplier can receive from Ford. It is awarded to a select group of suppliers who consistently excel in key areas such as operational performance, manufacturing processes, continuous improvement, customer satisfaction, and robust quality systems. Three decades later, one thing hasn’t changed: Quality remains the way the plant operates, thinks, and delivers. It shows up in every design, every test, every product we deliver. This achievement comes down to one thing: a team whose dedication, expertise, and ownership continue to earn customer trust and set the bar for operational excellence across FORVIA. As Plant Manager Etzail Vega said: “You make our plant a benchmark in FORVIA Mexico and in the industry.” To mark the moment, the team raised the Ford Q1 Flag of Honor and unveiled a commemorative plaque!
