🎉 🥳 Reese Witherspoon Joins Hachette Book Group’s Raising Readers Campaign 🥳🎉 We’re thrilled to announce that Academy Award-winning actress, bestselling author, and avid reader Reese Witherspoon is joining Hachette Book Group’s Raising Readers initiative as the voice of our global campaign to address the alarming decline in children reading for fun. Beginning this fall, Witherspoon’s message will be featured in Hachette Audio titles, encouraging adults to inspire children to read just 10 minutes a day. Her call to action will also appear at the end of Hachette’s print and eBooks. This effort aligns with our mission to make it easy for everyone to discover new worlds of ideas, learning, entertainment, and opportunity—while helping remove barriers to books that disproportionately affect underrepresented communities. 📖 Supporting Young Readers at Greenville Library 📖 This summer, Hachette Book Group had the opportunity to support the Greenville Library’s 2025 Summer Reading Program by donating books for their early literacy and youth programming. Over the course of seven weeks, 126 children participated in reading focused activities designed to spark joy, curiosity, and confidence in young readers. The library team shared that children in the pre-K group collectively read 1,650 books (many with caregivers), while readers in grades 1–6 logged an impressive 485 hours of reading. Our donation helped the library reward participants, host engaging events, and provide access to stories that might not have otherwise been available; strengthening a community-wide culture of literacy.
