A collaborative venture between Miami University and MeetKai Inc., an AI company, is leading to the launch of a new initiative called Safety Immersion and Gamified Hazard Training (SIGHT). The Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation awarded them a $1.5 million grant to deliver hazard training to manufacturing workers using generative AI and immersive virtual reality (VR).The program will be anchored by Miami University & Butler Tech’s new Advanced Manufacturing Workforce and Innovation Hub located in Hamilton, Ohio (Butler County), part of the Polytechnic Campus through MiamiTHRIVE. This is a huge win for local economic development, ensuring our manufacturing workers are not only highly skilled but also safe and prepared for the future.
