Recently, a patient presented to our Wound & Hyperbaric center experiencing homelessness. It was evident there were challenges beyond medical needs. The team didn’t stop at treating the wound, they treated the whole person. Thinking creatively, they identified cost-effective dressing options and reached out to partner AdventHealth East Florida’s Waterman Case Management, lead by Kelly Van Gennip, who connected us to a clothing closet filled with donated items. Before the patient left, they not only had clean clothes but also a new pair of shoes that comfortably fit over his compression wraps. This act of care reminded me that healing is more than a clinical process, it’s about restoring hope, dignity, and self-worth. ❤️ This compassionate team lead by my clinical nurse manager Sondra, demonstrates the “Love Me” standard in such a beautiful way. _____________________________________ Healogics, LLC. #WholePersonCare
