As National Homeownership Month comes to a close, we’re reflecting on what homeownership means to families in Northern Arizona. One of our Pre-Purchase Assistance clients put it best: “I have a place that we can call our own, to make memories, to build a family and have roots in the city we love.” For many, owning a home brings stability, strengthens connections, and helps individuals and families stay rooted in the communities they love—without having to relocate in search of affordability. We’re proud to have helped more than 480 Northern Arizona households become homeowners—and counting!

Thanks to Arizona Public Service, our JoJo’s Place and Sharon Manor transitional housing programs now have solar-covered parking structures! Construction has also begun at our new Oak Wash Homes permanently affordable housing program in Cottonwood. These upgrades will help us lower our energy footprint and reduce monthly utility expenses!

Celebrating Client Successes from May! We’re honored to support individuals and families as they take meaningful steps toward stability, safety, and home. May brought several incredible milestones worth celebrating — and we’re excited to share a few of these wins with you: - 3 JoJo’s Place residents transitioned into permanent housing - 3 survivor households who had been experiencing homelessness moved into Sharon Manor - 45 local households remained stably housed in affordable Housing Solutions rental homes - 4 households (3 in April, 1 in May) became first-time homeowners through our Pre-Purchase Assistance Program These milestones reflect the hard work of our clients and the importance of accessible, affordable housing. Big congratulations to our incredible Housing Programs Manager, Angela, who was honored as Housing Counselor of the Year by the Arizona Housing Coalition! Angela received this well-deserved recognition during the Coalition’s annual conference luncheon last week, and we were thrilled to celebrate her amazing work alongside her. Over the past 12 years, Angela has helped 150 households become homeowners, creating stability and long-term roots for families in our community. We’re so proud of you, Angela—thank you for the compassion, expertise, and dedication you bring to Housing Solutions every day!
