#NationalCompositesWeek is on Day 5 and we're focused on #Composites #Recycling♻️, a Working Group led by Soydan Ozcan and Matthew Korey, Ph.D. of Oak Ridge National Laboratory. It's a group filled with members looking for #sustainable solutions that save materials, time, and money. One example is Hicham Ghossein, Ph.D. with Endeavor Composites, Inc., and his IACMI summer intern Julia Flynn. She's returning for her senior year at Boston University and is taking with her valuable experience on her career path in #AdvancedManufacturing. Julia: "I feel like sustainability is where my purpose is within engineering. I want to be hands on, working with recycled materials, whether that's recycled carbon fiber, glass fiber, or thermoplastics. It's been really interesting to see how we can reuse those kind of wasted raw materials." CompositesWorld #CompositesPerformanceWithPurpose
