Just wrapped up an unforgettable experience at the IISE Annual Conference & Expo 2025 in Atlanta! 🎉 Seven exec members and two organization members had the chance to attend a wide range of events, including academic sessions on topics like healthcare, supply chain, and operations research, student mixers, capstone poster presentations, and an inspiring keynote + awards ceremony. We also took part in design competitions (shoutout to GT participant Claudia Cánovas Fernández, who placed 2nd in the Design Innovation Contest!), and our exec board collaborated to create and deliver a presentation on study tips to fellow students and faculty. It was amazing connecting with students from ⭐️ IISE at Virginia Tech ⭐️ IISE Purdue ⭐️ IISE at The Ohio State University ... and many more chapters! It was especially fun giving the IISE at Berkeley students a tour of Georgia Tech’s campus! We learned a lot, received thoughtful advice, made invaluable connections, and had a great time along the way! 🐝💛

We recently hosted our annual ISyE Undergraduate and Graduate Award Ceremony, celebrating students who have made an outstanding impact on the ISyE community through their leadership, academic excellence, and dedication to service. We’re proud to share that our chapter hosted the first CYC x IISE case competition, sponsored by BDO. Over 1.5 weeks, 10 teams tackled real-world business problems, applying their skills in analysis, strategy, and innovation. Thank you to our sponsors, organizers, and everyone who participated. At our March General Body Meeting, we had the pleasure of welcoming two incredible leaders from the Atlanta IISE Professional Chapter — Dallas Wurst (COL-R) (BSIE '83) and Jesus Sandoval, P.E. (BSIE '81, MSIE '82) — who shared their experiences and the impactful work their chapter is doing in the IE community. This past weekend our executive board attended the Southeast Regional Conference hosted by IISE USF in Tampa, Florida. Our members had an amazing time attending workshops, touring a Pepsico/Tampa Brass & Aluminum plant, and networking with fellow IISE members and professionals. Thank you USF for this great opportunity!

We are excited to announce that the Spring 2025 IISE Career Fair will be February 10th from 11AM to 4:30PM at Exhibition Hall! Each Spring, around 25+ companies and 500+ students come to the Georgia Tech campus to attend the IISE (ISyE) Career Fair. Companies recruiting for jobs in Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Operations, Finance, Optimization, Simulation, Computation, Statistics, as well as other areas, can find some of the best candidates in the country from Georgia Tech Industrial Engineering’s Bachelor’s and Master’s programs. 11:00AM -12:00PM is reserved for IISE Members exclusively. 12:00PM onwards is open to ALL MAJORS.
