Earlier this year, we shared that INPUT SOFT joined the IAGi Accelerator Programme and began testing our technology in live airport operations. With the trial now completed, we’re ready to highlight some of the results from our work with one of IAG’s ground handling company. The team behind this project explored how our Resource Management Suite could support planning, rostering, GSE coordination and real-time schedule response. The goal was to understand feasibility and potential impact in day-to-day operations. Feedback from supervisors and the station manager showed where the system brings value. They noted that planning ahead became easier, adapting to changes felt smoother and they could focus more on operational decisions instead of manual coordination. The quantified results reflect this experience: - Planning time dropped by roughly 70 percent, shifting from several days to only a few hours. - Planned worked hours across PAX and RAMP teams decreased by a few thousand during the trial period. What stood out most was how quickly the operational team explored different scenarios and incorporated the tool into their workflow. Their insights helped us understand what large aviation groups need and how digital support can make daily work more manageable for ground handling operations. We’re grateful to IAGi and the entire operational team for the chance to use our RMS in real operational conditions. We look forward to sharing more about this cooperation, so stay tuned!

The digital platform that simplifies and automates airport operations
About us
INPUT SOFT is a cloud-based platform designed for airports and ground handling providers to streamline turnaround processes, improve on-time performance, and reduce operational costs. Our system combines Resource Management(Resource Planning, Staff Rostering, Real-time Planning) with Data Management (Flight Services, GSE Control, Invoicing), giving teams full visibility and control over every step of the operation. Whether you're managing a small ramp team or coordinating complex airport operations, INPUT SOFT helps you move faster, work smarter, and make decisions based on data. Anyone who has ever planned a shift in ground handling knows how quickly things can fall apart. One missing qualification, one outdated spreadsheet, one certificate that quietly expires this month, and the whole operation feels it. On the ramp, those details do not stay “on paper”. They show up as rework, last-minute phone calls, and teams trying to cover gaps under time pressure. Many organisations still rely on Excel or several disconnected tools to manage rostering and competency tracking. And with so many approvals, airport rules, and role requirements to follow, it’s surprisingly easy to miss one small detail. The result is often the same: the wrong person ends up assigned to the wrong task, and fixing it takes time that no one has during peak hours. That’s exactly why qualification tracking in INPUT SOFT RMS is built into the planning logic, not handled as a separate checklist. Here’s how it works in practice: • The system tracks the validity of certificates and qualifications for every employee • It alerts planners or managers ahead of expiry, and you choose when reminders start (for example 30, 60, or 90 days before) • It supports proactive refresh-training planning, so sessions can be scheduled before compliance becomes an urgent issue • Most importantly, the system will not assign staff to future shifts if their certificate will no longer be valid at the time of that shift • This reduces manual checking, prevents common planning mistakes, and helps operations run more smoothly when pressure is high When demand peaks, safe and compliant planning is not optional, it’s what keeps ground operations steady. A while ago, we shared a post about why retention remains one of the toughest challenges in ground handling - especially for younger specialists entering the field. According to recent IATA insights, more than 60% of ground-handling organisations say they still struggle with long-term staffing shortages, and over a quarter expect further turnover in the coming year. (Airside International summary of IATA GH findings) A big part of this comes from how the work is structured. Ground handling depends on physical effort, fast decisions, and constant switching between tasks - often with limited tools and little room to recover after a busy peak. When processes are manual and information is scattered, the job becomes heavier than it needs to be. Over time, that’s what pushes people away, not the work itself. This is where technology starts to matter in a very practical way. Not as a replacement for people, but as support for the parts of the job that are hardest to manage day after day. Some examples we see across airports today: - Automated and semi-autonomous GSE reducing heavy manual movement on the ramp and limiting time spent in high-risk areas. - Smarter planning and allocation tools helping teams avoid constant last-minute reshuffling and giving clearer visibility of workloads. - Digital training and competency systems offering more structured development, which is especially valuable for younger staff who want a clear growth path. These changes don’t simplify aviation — the work will always be fast and collaborative. What they do is make daily operations more predictable and less physically draining, which makes the job easier to commit to in the long run. Retention isn’t solved by one big shift. It’s usually shaped by dozens of small improvements that help people feel more supported in their day-to-day work. And when those improvements add up, teams tend to stay longer — and perform better.

✈️ The feedback loop: How real industry needs drove our platform's evolution this year. At INPUT SOFT, we believe true progress doesn't come from an isolated internal roadmap, but from a continuous, dynamic conversation with the experts on the ground. A year ago, we set out to not just improve our platform, but to fundamentally redefine what ground handling software should do. Our development cycle is less of a straight line and more of a loop: we constantly listen, refine, and release. This customer-centric approach means we're always embedded in the industry's pulse: we gather regular, structured feedback from our clients, engage with potential users at major conferences, run intensive pilot projects to test new concepts in live environments, and continuously analyze global industry shifts. While we maintain a clear vision, our final roadmap is always adapted to reflect the real-world needs and emerging best practices articulated by professionals we speak with daily. This feedback loop is the engine that drove our most significant changes. Here is how that commitment translated into tangible change over the last year: 🔵 Smarter invoicing with AI: We integrated AI to automatically recognize contract terms between airlines and ground handlers, which instantly generates precise invoices once a turnaround is complete. 🔵 Deeper operational insights: We added 37 new performance metrics and several new reports for export, plus full integration with Power BI for centralized analytics across the enterprise. 🔵 Enhanced rostering algorithm: The new algorithm now considers significantly more parameters and limitations, leading to more optimized and compliant staff schedules. 🔵Full cloud flexibility: Our platform is now cloud agnostic, meaning we can deploy it on AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure, giving you maximum choice. 🔵Updated mobile apps: Our On-site Ops iOS and Android applications received significant updates for better user experience and real-time data flow on the ramp. 🔵 Better auditing and traceability: We added an actions log and historical data storage. This provides a complete, traceable record of all activity to assist with audits. The aviation industry is built on precision, and its software should be too. Modernization is not a one-time project; it’s an ongoing commitment to solving the next operational challenge. It requires boldness to move away from legacy systems and embrace the future. We invite the industry to not just use technology, but to actively shape it. Don't be afraid to demand adaptive, responsive platforms that grow with your ambitions.
