This December, we’re helping teachers connect economics to the real world — and the holiday season offers the perfect opportunity. On December 9, izzit.org will host Economics at the Holidays: Teaching Value, Scarcity & Spending, a no-cost professional development session led by Leah Kilfoyle, AP® and general-level economics teacher and izzit Teacher Ambassador. Using familiar seasonal examples—shopping, budgeting, gift-giving—Leah will demonstrate how to make concepts like value, scarcity, and consumer behavior more accessible and engaging for students.
