🍷 JKV Food and Dining Director, Ulas Gungor, a Level II sommelier hosted a magnificent sunset steak dinner and wine pairing on the Westlake Terrace rooftop here at JKV. Residents enjoyed a delectable dinner of grilled prime sirloin steak, shrimp skewers, Caesar salad, and creme brulee, all freshly prepared, paired with reds, whites, and a white Port from Portugal. Ulas takes delight in bringing these experiences to the residents and sharing his expertise. He's one of the many team members who bring the JKV experience to life for our residents every day. John Knox Village is proud to partner with 4KIDS South Florida, a nonprofit serving foster children here in the South Florida community. We learned of the incredible support they offer to foster children and foster parents and knew we wanted to help. JKV team members visited 4Kids to take a tour of their home base, and delivered a donation of holiday gifts for foster teens, an age group that can sometimes get overlooked. 🚶🛬 Team JKV, comprised of residents and team members came out to walk the 7th Annual "Uptown 5K on the Runway" at the Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport. This event benefits the Trustbridge Hospice Foundation and helps them cover uncompensated expenses for patient care and specialized programs.
