The UK's Critical Minerals Strategy recognises what we've known for decades - circularity isn't the future, it's happening now. We're excited to see the strategy: ✅ Set ambitious recycling targets that drive circularity leadership ✅ Recognise the UK's strategic advantage in PGM supply chains ✅ Invest £50M in domestic processing to strengthen world-class recycling capabilities As the world's largest PGM recycler, we're proud to demonstrate how established circular supply chains can lead the way for other critical materials.

28 million: that's how many new cases of cancer we can expect each year by 2040 across the world. Did you know…platinum group metals (PGMs) play a key role in today's cancer-fighting technologies? Helping to enable diagnostic equipment like X-ray mammography and life-saving medicine, PGMs play a significant role. Without these precious metals many technologies simply wouldn’t exist or function in the same way we know them to today. As a global leader in PGMs, we're proud to harness the power of these metals and with our customers, help to fight cancer. Welcome news from the UK Government with the publication of it’s Critical Minerals Strategy that aims to secure Britain’s supply of the vital materials that power our everyday lives. The focus on resilience and recycling is an important step for UK economic growth. The UK leads on the recycling of platinum group metals (PGMs), and almost 60% of PGMs going into new products globally are sourced from recycling. While most #PGMs have been recognised as both critical and growth minerals – clear evidence of their importance for the UK industrial sector and the Government’s Industrial Strategy – the omission of palladium is a missed opportunity. #Palladium is an important PGM with broad applications from pharmaceuticals and electronics, to controlling automotive emissions. One country now controls half of the world's green hydrogen production 🌍 To what do they owe their success? China's dominance in this critical clean technology is reshaping the global energy landscape, with projections to reach over 30 million tonnes annually by 2050 - significantly outpacing the EU and US combined. 🎤 Hear from Eugene McKenna, our Senior VP of Hydrogen Technologies, on one of the key drivers for China's success in this space, from his panel discussion at this year's European Hydrogen Week. To mark Armistice Day in the UK and Veterans Day in the US, JM's Veterans Network hosted a commemorative service at our site in Royston, welcoming colleagues both in person and virtually. ❤️ We were honoured to be joined by serving soldiers from Bassingbourn Barracks, members of the police service, local MP Chris Hinchcliff, and a curate from Royston Parish Church, to pay respect those who have served and sacrificed. At JM, we are committed to supporting the recruitment, development and retention of anyone who has served in the military or civil service, and their families. Our employee resource group (ERG), Veterans Network, helps facilitate this through internal initiatives and outreach efforts.
