This week marks FIVE incredible years with Marissa Castro Mikoy, our President & CEO! 🎉 Marissa is a bold, compassionate, and community-rooted leader, and with her guidance, we opened not one but two brand-new, state-of-the-art service centers — the Jubilee Park Community Clinic and the Jubilee Park Food Pantry — to make both quality healthcare and nutritious food easily accessible to neighbors. And, recently, she guided our team to receive a historic Promise Neighborhoods grant—the first-ever in Dallas and the first in Texas in over a decade—to bridge the opportunity gap in post-secondary education. Since day one, Marissa has worked tirelessly to help Jubilee expand its programs and impact, and we are so grateful for her and all that she brings to our mission! Drop a comment below to help us say congratulations and THANK YOU, MARISSA! 👏✨ #JubileePark #ThankYouMarissa

Jubilee’s Out of-School Time (OST) team was named a finalist for Nonprofit Team of the Year (Large and Mega) in the D CEO 2025 Nonprofit & Corporate Citizenship Awards! Our small (but mighty) education team empowers hundreds of students annually through afterschool, S3 (Specialized Student Support) and summer programs, and this honor is a testament to their work in building confidence and bringing joy into learning every single day. We’re proud to be recognized alongside so many inspiring organizations. Congrats to all of the DCEO finalists! 💚 #JubileePark #DCEO D Magazine

📢 Big news for Dallas! For the first time ever, a Promise Neighborhoods Grant has been awarded in Dallas– and it’s the first in Texas in more than a decade! 🎉 Jubilee Park & Community Center has secured a $992,003 grant from the U.S. Department of Education. It is one of only seven awarded nationwide this year. This funding will fuel the Jubilee Park Promise Neighborhood Initiative (PNI), providing cradle-to-career support for students in Southeast Dallas. From early childhood to higher education and career success, this initiative is a game-changer. This is more than a grant– it’s a promise of real opportunity aimed at breaking cycles of generational poverty. 💙 Other partners include Dallas Independent School District, Jewish Family Service of Greater Dallas, Head Start of Greater Dallas, SMU Simmons School of Education & Human Development, Dallas Police Department, and Child Poverty Action Lab (CPAL). Thank you, Salad and Go and Salad and Go Charities, for giving back in such a big (and delicious) way!
Kicking off 2025 with Healthy Habits and BIG donations! We started the year strong with our Healthy Habits workshop, "Hydration Station," at the Dallas area YMCA afterschool programs at Everette Lee DeGolyer and Arthur Kramer Elementary Schools. Kids enjoyed sampling veggies and fruit-infused waters while learning the importance of staying hydrated with liquids and foods. Our Salad Donation Program continues to support food-insecure communities. Recently, we donated 500 salads to the Jubilee Park & Community Center and Cathedral of Hope in Dallas. We're also preparing to donate over 1,200 salads to various organizations during the pre-opening days of the new Salad and Go location on Lemmon Ave in Dallas, TX. Our weekly Arizona partners have been hard at work, assembling donated ingredients to create and distribute more than 11,150 salads across the Phoenix Valley so far this year to help feed people in need. A HUGE thank you to our Salad and Go volunteers who came out to support - and our community partners committed to serving others. Together, we're making a difference, one salad at a time! 🥗

Thank you, Salad and Go, for showing up for our community in such a big way—again! For the second time, their amazing team came to our Food Pantry to build 500 fresh salads to donate and share across Dallas, with 200 delivered straight to our Jubilee seniors at Gurley Place and Senior Meals. We appreciate you! #JubileePark #SaladAndGo #GreensForEveryone #ThankYou
