Environmental stewardship is at the heart of The River District. Within the site boundary, we designed thoughtfully around jurisdictional streams and wetlands, leveraging our knowledge of the regulatory process to avoid the need for individual permits while meeting nationwide wetland and stream permitting limits. By expanding stream buffers and reducing roadway crossings over sensitive valleys and waterway, we helped balance community growth with the preservation of natural ecosystems.
