LA’s BEST is excited to celebrate the opening of our newest morning program at Hubbard Elementary. With this addition we now offer 20 morning programs and 221 total programs before and after school across Los Angeles. Since 1988 we have responded to the needs of the communities we serve and continue to grow alongside them. Our before school programs give students a safe and welcoming place to start their day. Children connect with caring staff, enjoy quiet activities, get support as they transition into the school day, and begin their morning in an environment that feels calm, consistent, and encouraging. We are grateful to our dedicated staff who welcomed students on day one and continue to make joyful learning possible all year long and all day long.

Our second Advocacy Cohort for 2025 - 2026 came together for their first in-person session. They shared personal stories, learned what is ahead for the year, and left feeling energized for the work to come. This group will play an important role in amplifying the need to support programs like ours. This work matters because leadership and advocacy begin with the real stories and lived experiences of the people who serve our communities.
