We’re proud to share that Huntington Health Kohl Medical Pavilion has been recognized by Cal/OSHA with its Golden Gate safety award, a distinction earned by only about 70 projects across #California.   To put it into perspective: there are more than 40,000 active construction projects in the state, and only a small fraction meet the exceptionally high standards required for this honor.   This achievement reflects the collaboration of Layton and Abbott Construction teams, who prioritized proactive planning, continuous improvement, and a culture where safety comes first for every person on site.   Congratulations to the entire Huntington Health Kohl Medical Pavilion team for setting the bar high and showing what’s possible when #safety is truly a shared value.

Our design-build addition at Boise's Stueckle Sky Center elevated the fan experience with luxury suites, loge boxes, club seats, and more. A few hours south at the U, we delivered the Ken Garff Red Zone at Rice-Eccles Stadium—adding over 5,600 seats, locker rooms, premium spaces, and even a new home for the 2002 Olympic Cauldron. Working side by side with each university, our teams helped create stadiums worthy of their programs and their passionate fans. This space has been redesigned for connection, comfort, and flexibility. From a raised-access floor with the HVAC hidden underneath to a custom grid system ensuring 200+ grilles and outlets align perfectly with the sleek furniture layout, every detail was crafted with purpose. We even turned construction challenges into wins! Like swapping a restroom location to avoid airduct conflict and building a custom noise-control “cut box” so work could happen without interrupting calls upstairs and below. The result? A space so inviting you’ll instantly feel the difference from the moment you step in.

𝗦𝗵𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗮 𝗿𝘂𝗻𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝘁 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗶𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝘀 𝘂𝘀𝘂𝗮𝗹.   Less than a mile from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, where 130,000 passengers board over 1,000 daily flights, we're building Sky Harbor Commerce Park—a three-building, 500,000 SF #industrialpark. A project like this demands creativity and flexibility at every level.   Working hand in hand with the FAA, airlines, and air traffic control, we swapped our usual daytime concrete tilts for an overnight operation. From 11 PM to 6 AM, our team and trade partners shut down an adjacent runway, lifted massive panels into place, and reopened just in time for morning flights.   The result?
