Our book "Levain Bakery: A Story of Friendship, Community, and Cookies" is finally here! 💙   What began as a look back on 30 years of baking became something much deeper: a love letter to the people, places, and memories that shaped us. In creating this book we reconnected with longtime customers, gathered stories from new fans, and revisited the early days when Pam and Connie built the business from the ground up. It’s part entrepreneurial memoir, part New York City time capsule, and a reminder that business, when done with heart, can have a lasting positive impact. So many wonderful people helped bring this project to life. Most people don't know that Levain Bakery began in 1995 with a shared passion for baking and a dream to bring something special to our community. What started as a small bread shop on Manhattan's Upper West Side quickly turned into something unexpected. While training for triathlons, our founders Pam and Connie created a hearty chocolate chip walnut cookie to fuel workouts. Decided to sell a small batch in the bakery, and to our surprise, it became an instant favorite. Nearly 30 years later, we're still baking those same cookies daily, grateful for the journey and the community that has supported us along the way. Thank you to Inc.
