Liberty’s inaugural Week of Service in Florida is off to a great start! Our staff participated in the 3rd Annual #AdvocacyDays: The Future of Disabilities conference hosted by The Arc of Florida. We also awarded a scholarship to a dental hygienist at the Florida Dental Hygiene Symposium held by the Florida Dental Hygienists' Association. And we provided preventive dental services for children ages 4 to 17 at “Making Smile” events hosted by Concorde Career Colleges. We’re excited to share compelling initial results from B.R.U.S.H., our value-based oral health program for Medicaid-enrolled children. A peer-reviewed study published by the American Dental Association  in the The Journals of the American Dental Association (JADA) has shown that 65% of B.R.U.S.H. participants lowered or maintained a low risk of tooth decay over 24 months. The study tracked more than 2,700 Medicaid-enrolled children and was co-authored by our Chief Dental Officer, Dr. Cherag Sarkari, along with Dr. John Featherstone and Dr. Ana Karina Mascarenhas. B.R.U.S.H. rewards dental providers for early detection and measurable oral-health improvements by leveraging prevention. By disrupting the traditional fee-for-service model and tying reimbursement to patient outcomes, B.R.U.S.H. demonstrates that value-based care can deliver better health, lower costs, and a lasting impact for patients, providers, and payers.
